Poker BlueObsessed College Football Fans in 70 Cities
Can Now Get Their Licks In Too, As Rivalry
Slugfest Moves from Gridiron to Poker Table

PokerBlue.com and Card Player College Magazine to Co-Host
“College Football’s 2005 SIDELINE BRAWL”

LONG BEACH, CA—OCTOBER 10, 2005—PokerBlue.com will host “College Football’s 2005 SIDELINE BRAWL”, in which students, alumni and fans representing 70 of the nation’s top colleges battle for bragging rights, tailgate cash, and tickets to 35 of the biggest NCAA college football rivalry games of the year.
“I grew up in the shadow of Ohio Stadium, and I can assure you that big-time college football rivalries have long transcended the gridiron, annually providing fans, students, and alumni with socially acceptable forums for publicly displaying hostility. We think giving college football fans a hands-on opportunity to exercise superiority will be a huge hit nationwide,” says Stewart Gandolf, Chief Marketing Officer for PokerBlue’s ad agency, Rubicon Marketing, and an alumnus of Ohio State University. “Poker is, after all, the fastest growing sport in the world.”

PokerBlue.com will host first-round Open Tournaments for the 70 cities representing 35 top NCAA college football games to be played between November 19 and December 3, 2005. Those games include Ohio State vs. Michigan, USC vs. UCLA, Alabama vs. Auburn, Army vs. Navy, Nebraska vs. Colorado, Florida vs. Florida State, Texas vs. Texas A&M, Arkansas vs. LSU, and Georgia vs. Georgia Tech. (Please see a complete listing of participating “SIDELINE BRAWL” teams on page 2.)
“The only thing worse than a rival team is their obnoxious fans. Beat’em on PokerBlue.com and you’ll take their pride, their money and their tickets“, says a sneering Gandolf.
In the first-round Open Tournaments, players will freeroll for the right to represent their school (or favorite team) against other students, alumni, and fans. The top five finishers representing each school will qualify for the second-round Championship Tournaments.

In the Round-Two Championship Tournaments, players will face off in a bone-crushing freeroll tournament against misguided fans representing that “other team.” In addition to bringing honor to the schools they’ve battled for, each of the Rivalry Winners will receive $100 in tailgate cash and two seats to their college’s big game (up to a $1,500 value).
To qualify, players must register, download FREE tournament software, and declare the college for which they intend to compete—all at www.PokerBlue.com. Complete “Sideline Brawl” Tournament details are available at www.pokerblue.com/rivals.

All “Sideline Brawl” Round-Two participants will automatically qualify for PokerBlue.com’s BCS National Championship Freeroll Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, December 10, at 3:00 pm (PST). The winner will receive $2,000 travel cash, plus two seats to the January 4, 2006, National Championship Rose Bowl Game in Pasadena—a package valued at $5,000.
